Police update 4: Missing woman, Gap

Police have located the body of a 78-year-old woman, reported missing from her home at The Gap on February 2.

Initial investigations indicate there are no suspicious circumstances, however officers will prepare a report for the Coroner.

Police wish to thank the volunteers and members of the public who assisted in the search, including those from the State Emergency Service (SES) and local community groups, along with businesses who provided CCTV footage.

EARLIER: The search for a missing 78-year-old woman is continuing in The Gap area.

Police divers assisted with a search of the Enoggera Reservoir.

Unfortunately, there was no sign of the missing woman.

A co-ordinated land search of further bushland at The Gap will continue.

The missing woman was last seen at a Lahore Street address on February 2 at approximately 9pm, where it is believed she then left on foot.
