Police update: armed robbery at Burpengary

Detectives investigating the armed robbery of a Burpengary hotel on Tuesday October 27, have released footage of a man who may be able to assist police with their inquiries.

The man was driving a black Kia hatchback, showing Queensland registration 262ZET and attended a service station on Brisbane Road, Booval at around 5.30pm on October 27.

At around 8.45pm that day, two masked males entered the hotel on the Bruce Highway Eastern Service Road, where they threatened staff and patrons with meat cleavers before stealing a sum of cash from the cash register.

They fled in a dark blue hatch back which was later located at Telegraph Road, Bracken Ridge with minor fire damage and a second vehicle, a black Kia Rio was located nearby, and is also linked to the offence.
