Detectives have charged a man following an alleged armed robbery at Cardwell on Wednesday, October 16.
It will be alleged that the man entered a store on Victoria Street with another man. The men have jumped the counter and allegedly stolen cigarettes and cash.
It will also be alleged that a female employee was threatened with a screwdriver.
A 24-year-old man has been charged with one count each of armed robbery and possessing a utensil that had been used.
He is due to appear in Innisfail Magistrates Court today.
Investigations are continuing.
