Police update: Armed robbery charges, Rochedale

Police have charged two men in relation to the alleged armed robbery of a convenience store in Rochedale on Sunday (June 19).

It is alleged the pair entered a Belmore Drive store on Sunday afternoon, wearing masks and armed with a knife and a hammer.

The men obtained money and cigarettes before fleeing the store and leaving on push bikes.

Police executed a search warrant today (July 21) and charged the 18-year-old and 20-year-old Rochedale men with armed robbery.

Both men will appear before the Beenleigh Magistrates Court tomorrow (June 22).
