Police update: Attempted armed robbery, Berserker

Rockhampton detectives have charged a 44-year-old Berserker man over an alleged attempted armed robbery of a Berserker business on February 6.

It will be alleged at approximately 6.30pm, the man entered a Musgrave Street store, produced a large machete and threatened two employees.

He left empty handed after a chair was thrown at him.

The two employees were not physically injured.

The 44-year-old Berserker man was charged with attempted robbery – use/threaten violence armed/pretends to be armed or in company.

He is due to appear at Rockhampton Magistrates court on March 8.
