Police have located and charged a man with attempted murder after a woman was stabbed at a Kawungan home in Hervey Bay on Thursday morning.
Around 6am, police were called to a disturbance at a Lindeman Court address.
Police located a 49-year-old woman with lacerations to her neck. She was transported to Hervey Bay Hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
A man, who is known to the woman, was located by police around 6.30pm today walking on street in Hervey Bay.
A 57-year-old Hervey Bay man has been charged with one count each of attempted murder, stalking and break and enter dwelling. He will appear in the Hervey Bay Magistrates Court tomorrow, August 8.
