Police update: Break and enters, Hervey Bay area

Police have charged a 22-year-old man with multiple offences in relation to a string of break and enters at businesses across the Hervey Bay area between August and October this year.

Between August 10 and October 10, it will be alleged at least 12 businesses have been impacted across Hervey Bay.

Maryborough CIB with Logan Tactical Crime Squad arrested a 22-year-old Hervey Bay man at Regents Park on Thursday (October 13).

He has since been charged with 10 counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence, two counts of attempted enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, two counts of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, one count each of unlawful possession of suspected stolen property and obstruct police.

He is expected to appear before Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday (October 17).

Investigations remain ongoing. Police urge anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage in relation to property crime incidents in the area to come forward.
