Police update: E-scooter crash, Yarrabilba

A teenage boy who was critically injured in an electric scooter crash at Yarrabilba on Tuesday (July 12), yesterday passed away at Queensland Children's Hospital.

Initial investigations indicate the 15-year-old local boy came off the e-scooter on the footpath at Basalt Drive, at approximately 8.35am.

The Forensic Crash Unit and Child Protection and Investigation Unit (CPIU) are investigating the incident.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
