Police update: Fatal traffic crash, Moorooka

A 78-year-old man has passed away in hospital from injuries sustained in a traffic crash in Moorooka on September 4.

Investigations indicate a collision occurred between a pushbike and a black sedan at the Muriel Avenue on-ramp to Ipswich Road just after 8am.

The cyclist, a 78-year-old man from Sunnybank Hills, was taken to taken to hospital in a critical condition after suffering significant head injuries in the crash.

Police are urging anyone who may have dash cam footage or who may have seen the accident to come forward.

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating.
