Police update: Fifth person charged after drugs and cash seized in Sydney's North Shore

A fifth person will face court charged following an investigation into the supply of illicit drugs on Sydney's North Shore.

In August 2020, detectives attached to North Shore Police Area Command established Strike Force Callide to investigate the supply of heroin and methylamphetamine.

As part of ongoing investigations, strike force investigators, assisted by officers from Northern Beaches and Ryde Police Area Commands as well as Northern Region, executed search warrants at six properties in Wollstonecraft, Epping and Kempsey from about 7.20am yesterday (Wednesday 7 October 2020).

During a search the properties, a number of items were seized and will be forensically examined.

Three men, aged 40, 48 and 49, and a 27-year-old woman were charged and remain before the courts.

Following further inquiries, a 44-year-old man was arrested at Hurstville Police Station about 7.45pm yesterday (Wednesday 7 October 2020.

He was charged with supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, and possess/attempt to, prescribed restricted substance

The Hurstville man was refused bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court today (Thursday 8 October 2020).

Strike Force Callide is part of a strategic operation in the northern suburbs to dismantle criminal networks involved in the supply of prohibited drugs in our community.

Investigations under Strike Force Callide are continuing.
