Police update: Grievous bodily harm charge at Millmerran

Police have charged a man with grievous bodily harm following an incident at The Pines, near Millmerran, last night, April 2.

It will be alleged at approximately 9.30pm, a dispute occurred at an address where a 56-year-old man sustained a significant injury to his hand caused by a long bladed weapon.

The 56-year-old man was taken to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a critical condition.

A 25-year-old man fled the scene and was located a short time later at a service station on Gore Highway, Captains Mountain. He was taken into custody without further incident.

A 25-year-old Dubbo (NSW) man has been charged with one count of grievous bodily harm and is expected to appear at Toowoomba Magistrates Court today, April 3.
