Police have arrested a man and woman following the death of a 27-year-old man at Livingston this morning.
Police and emergency services were called to a Maida Street address shortly after 7am.
Upon arrival, police located a 27-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.
Emergency services rendered first aid to the man, however he was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later and a crime scene was declared.
Initial investigations indicate there was an altercation between the 27-year-old man and another man at the address, before the 27-year-old man was stabbed.
The offender left the scene in a white holden crewman with a woman.
This vehicle crashed along Golflinks Road at Hamilton Creek around 10.45am.
It is alleged the man and woman abandoned the Holden Crewman and approached a woman in a silver Hyundai Sante Fe, threatening her, before stealing her vehicle.
The driver of the Sante Fe was not physically injured in the incident.
Police intercepted the vehicle along Benaraby Road near Gladstone and a 36-year-old man and 20-year-old woman from Berserker were taken into custody.
Investigations are continuing.
