Police update: Man arrested over breaches of Public Health Act

A man who was wanted on an outstanding warrant for multiple alleged breaches of the Public Health Order has been arrested in Sydney's west today.

The 27-year-old man, who tested positive to COVID-19, was also subject to an order under Section 62 of the Public Health Act.

Following extensive inquiries by Bankstown Police Area Command, the man was arrested just before 5.30pm today (Thursday 26 August 2021) at a unit on Footbridge Boulevard, Wentworth Point.

Charges are expected to be laid.
