Police update: Missing elderly man, Runcorn

Police hold serious concerns for the welfare of missing 84-year-old man So Mao Lam and have commenced a search.

Today's search will focus around Eight Mile Plains and Runcorn following a possible sighting of him around 2pm yesterday (Monday, March 7), in the vicinity of Runcorn Railway Station on Beenleigh Road.

So Mao Lam is described as Vietnamese, around 165cm tall with grey hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey shirt and cream pants.

He suffers from a medical condition and may appear disorientated and confused. It is also believed he walks around the area with the assistance of a walking stick.

Residents and business owners are asked to search their properties for any sign of Mr Lam.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact police immediately.
