Police update: Missing man at Chinchilla

Police have renewed their calls for public assistance to locate 79-year-old Sidney Clark, after the vehicle he was driving and trailer were found abandoned.

Sidney was last seen driving a silver Jeep Cherokee with Victorian Registration NRM093 with an attached trailer in the vicinity of the Chinchilla CBD on Monday May 29, but is believed to have travelled north to the Durong area around 150kms away.

The trailer was found abandoned on Tuesday May 30 on Chinchilla Wondai Road, near Durong, with a shredded tyre.

The Jeep was found on the side of Stockyard Road, Arakula on Wednesday May 31.

Police have since initiated a land and air search of the area.

Concerns are held for his welfare as he has a medical condition which may cause confusion and disorientation.

Sidney is Caucasian, approximately 170cms tall with a proportionate build with short grey hair and a grey beard.
