The Northern Territory Police Force has located remains believed to be that of missing man Lachlan Burgess.
The remains were located a short time ago in a remote part of the area surrounding Lost City.
Lachlan's family have been notified and efforts are currently underway to remove the remains.
Today was day four of a multiagency search that included Police Search and Rescue members, Batchelor Police, Police Mounted Unit, Litchfield Park Rangers, Northern Territory Emergency Service, volunteers and Outback helicopters.
The circumstances surrounding the death are not believed to be suspicious and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Police and Lachlan's family would like to thank all those involved in the search.
