Police update: missing woman, Capalaba

A search operation is underway to locate a 38-year-old woman who was reported missing from Capalaba last week.

Natarn Auld (pictured) was last seen at a residence on Mount Cotton Road in the early hours of December 14.

Following extensive inquiries and a public appeal for information, detectives have commenced a search of bushland in an industrial area at Nudgee.

The ground search commenced this morning with the assistance of State Emergency Service personnel, concentrating on an area west of the Gateway Motorway.

The Queensland Police Service (QPS) dive squad is searching Nudgee Creek.

Police and family hold serious concerns for the woman's welfare as she failed to attend a pre-arranged meeting and has not been contactable for over a week.

She is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 170cm tall with long brunette hair and a slight build.

She was last seen wearing dark coloured long pants, a dark jumper with long sleeves, thongs and a gold necklace.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police immediately.
