Police update: Missing woman, Tewantin

Police have suspended the search for a 73-year-old woman reported missing from Tewantin on Friday, December 15.

An extensive search and rescue operation began on December 27 after the missing woman's vehicle, a white 2018 Hyundai Kona, was located by a member of the public at Sunrise Beach in Noosa.

The search continued on and off for several weeks, involving police, SES and Lifeflight, however nothing of interest was located.

Police have liaised closely with Evonne Bond's family during this time.

While the physical search has been suspended, police continue to appeal to anyone with information that may assist in locating Evonne to come forward.
