Police Update: Search And Rescue, Windin Falls

Update: The 47-year-old man reported missing from Windin Falls was located safe and well at 11.53am today, 10 June. The media and public are thanked for their assistance.

Earlier: A search is underway for a 47-year-old Malanda man who was last seen at Windin Falls on 7 June.

Around 6pm yesterday 8 June, police and emergency services were called following reports the man did not return home.

A search and rescue operation involving police, State Emergency Service personnel, ATVs and the Rescue 510 helicopter was launched this morning, 9 June.

The man was last seen wearing boots, a fluoro orange waterproof jacket, long pants and was carrying a bag.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
