Police have located the body of a 40-year-old man inside a Gyrocopter which was reported missing on Thursday 30 May 2019.
The man and the aircraft were located in the Victoria River near the Timber Creek Air Strip around 3:15pm today. It is believed the aircraft came into difficulty following a collision with a set of power lines near Timber Creek on Thursday.
The recovery process remains ongoing.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
