Police update: Shots firedin Brisbane City

Investigators have released CCTV footage and an image as part of an appeal for information following a shooting incident and suspicious fire at a bar in Brisbane City.

Around 2am yesterday, multiple shots were fired the licensed premises on Boundary Street.

Detectives have released an image of a small boat they believe the shots were fired from on the Brisbane River. The tender was stolen from the Gold Coast on December 26 and located yesterday afternoon in the Norman Park area.

Vision has also been released of a man detectives would like to speak with over an incident at the same licensed premises between 4.30am and 5.50am on Sunday, December 21, 2019 where items covered in an accelerant were used to throw into the premises.

Investigators are appealing to anyone, in particular ride share drivers, travelling around Howard Smith Wharves, Boundary/Ivory Streets, Bowen Terrace or the Story Bridge around the time of both incidents to contact them.

They would also like to speak with anyone at the business around November 17 who may have witnessed a disturbance to contact police.
