Police have charged a woman following an investigation into an unlawful wounding incident at Bushland Beach in the early hours of Saturday morning, May 17.
Around 2.50am, police will allege a verbal altercation occurred between three people at a residence on Daintree Drive, resulting in two women sustaining stab wounds.
A 43-year-old woman sustained an injury to her hand, while a 38-year-old woman sustained an injury to her shoulder. Both women were transported to Townsville University Hospital for treatment.
All parties were known to each other.
A 19-year-old woman has been charged with two counts of wounding and one count of wilful damage.
The 19-year-old woman has also been charged in relation to a second wounding incident in Kirwan on May 18 around 1pm.
Police will allege the woman, and a 17-year-old male entered the Eureka Crescent address and an altercation occurred resulting in a 35-year-old man sustaining stab wounds to his hand.
The injured man attended Mater Private Hospital for treatment.
All parties were known to each other.
The 19-year-old woman has also been charged with one count each of enter dwelling with intent, enter dwelling and commit, and wounding. She was remanded in custody to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court today, May 19.
