Police update: Wounding incident at Sunshine Coast

A 17-year-old boy has been charged after a wounding incident on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday.

Around 1am three people were involved in a physical altercation out the front of a Kalowendha Avenue address in Pelican Waters.

The incident resulted in an 18-year-old Inala man sustaining lacerations to his abdomen and a 16-year-old Golden Beach boy sustaining lacerations to his arm and back.

Both were taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 17-year-old boy has since been charged with two counts of wounding and will appear in Maroochydore Childrens Court next month.
