Police investigate Point Cook burglary

Police are investigating a burglary at a Point Cook residence some time during 4 January, Victoria Police say.

It is believed three men attended a Horizon Point home.

Two of them forced their way inside and ransacked the house before stealing a set of car keys to a white Jeep Cherokee parked in the garage.

No occupants were home at the time.

The vehicle, which is believed to have been used in a number of subsequent burglaries in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, was located abandoned on 22 January.

One of the males is perceived as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance with distinctive facial hair and was wearing a dark hoodie and grey pants.

The second was wearing dark clothing, including what is believed to be a dark Adidas hoodie, along with a peaked cap and gloves.

The third was wearing a fluoro top.

Police have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
