Popular Seniors event postponed

The highly anticipated Logan Loves Seniors Day event later this week has been rescheduled to Friday, October 22.

Logan City Council made the decision to postpone the Friday, October 1 event due to recent COVID-19 cases in the Brisbane, Gold Coast and Moreton Bay communities, as well as the forecast of possible severe weather in coming days.

Council's top priority is keeping our community safe.

Aged care residences and hospitals in the Brisbane and Moreton LGAs were locked down on Tuesday and Queensland Health warned restrictions may be extended to other areas depending on any developments over the next 48 hours.

All ticket holders will be notified about the date change. Purchased tickets will be honoured and rescheduled to the new date, at no charge. Alternatively, refunds will be offered upon request.

Key sponsors, contractors and stakeholders will also be contacted and further information will be issued on social media.

Logan Loves Seniors Day includes a wide range of exhibitors and free activities which will run from 9am until 1.30pm.

The planned Rocketman Flying Solo show will go ahead on the new date, beginning at 1.30pm. Tickets cost $8 and can be purchased by phoning Council on 3412 5626.

Council apologises for any inconvenience the date change may cause.
