Port Kembla Community Investment Fund

The NSW Government has finally published and released the guidelines for the Port Kembla Community Investment Fund (PKCIF), Round Four, today.

Member for Wollongong, Paul Scully, said, "Good, what took the Government so long?"

"The Government should also have released the review into the PKCIF.

"In addition, there are still two projects which were funded for Government Departments and agencies, which we have still not seen the outcomes for.

"I call on the Minister to also release the Tourism Development Plan for Port Kembla Project and Port Kembla Surplus Industrial Land Activation Project, which were awarded funding in Round Two of the PKCIF in 2017.

"Both of those funded projects have been completed but the community are none the wiser of the outcomes.

"It would be helpful in the current application process if the Port Kembla community and stakeholders were let in on the outcomes of these projects", Mr Scully said.

Applications for Round Four open on 1 September 2020 and close on 31 October 2020 at 5pm.

PKCIF guidelines are available here.

Mr Scully said that it was also disappointing that the review panel still does not have representation from the Port Kembla community.
