NT Government

Two new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the Northern Territory in the past 24 hours.

A 25-year-old female and a female child who arrived on a flight from Sydney on 11 October and travelled directly from the airport to the Centre for National Resilience (CNR) have tested positive for COVID-19. They both have mild symptoms.

There were 20 other passengers on the flight who have been confirmed as close contacts. Five of these people went directly into quarantine at the CNR upon arrival and will complete 14 days of quarantine. The remaining 15 are members of the Australian Defence Force and travelled directly from the airport to the Bladin Village Quarantine Facility.

There are currently nine active cases under the care of NT Health at the CNR.
