Possession of a knife charges at Capalaba, QLD

Police have charged a man after he allegedly threatened police with a knife at Capalaba early this morning., Queensland Police say

It will be alleged at 2.10am police attended Pittwin Road South where they located a man passed out in the middle of the road. When the man was woken by police he became abusive and then threatened police with a knife.

Police directed the man to drop the knife a number of times. The man then threw the knife on the ground he was arrested.

A 36-year-old Bundamba man has been charged with two counts each of assault police, obstruct police and receiving tainted property, and one count each of possession of knife in public place, public nuisance and possession of property used for drug offence.

He will appear at the Cleveland Magistrates Court tomorrow, November 13.
