Council will soon begin preliminary kerb works on Powlett Street in Broadford as part of preparations for a wider road reseal later this month.
The kerb works will take place from Friday 6 February and are expected to take around four days to complete, weather permitting.
These works will support the upcoming reseal of Powlett Street between Gavan Street and High Street, scheduled to begin in late February.
What to expect during construction
- Traffic management
- Reduced speed limits
- Lane/Road closures and short detours
- Drivers should allow extra travel time and follow traffic controllers and signage.
- Access to homes, businesses and surrounding streets will be maintained although short delays may occur.
- Pedestrian access along shop fronts will remain open at all times.
- One entry to the laneway behind Broadford Bits and Bargains will be temporarily unavailable during the kerb works. Alternative access will be provided (see map below)
