Prime Minister to address Voice to Parliament BBQ

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will address the Inner West Council's BBQ for the Voice to Parliament at 2.00PM this Saturday February 18 at Petersham Park.

As well as the Inner West's favourite son, Linda Burney, the Minister for Indigenous Australians and Aunty Pat Anderson, Co-author of the Uluru Statement From the Heart will also address the community BBQ.

The nearby Petersham Bowlo has also come on board with renowned Aboriginal country artist Vic Simms playing a free gig for the community as part of the event.

Representatives of local churches, schools, sports clubs and ethnic community organisations have all confirmed their attendance at the event.

Inner West Mayor Darcy Byrne said,

"Having the Prime Minister attend our community BBQ for the Voice to Parliament is confirmation of the importance that grass roots, community education will play in the upcoming referendum.

"Like the rest of the Inner West community, Albo will be able to enjoy a fun, family friendly event with a free sausage sizzle, free swim, live music as well as the chance for local people to learn about the Uluṟu Statement and the Voice."
