Summary
Stats NZ collects the Ara Rangatahi into employment programmes data from the Ara Education Charitable Trust (AECT) by agreement under section 22(c)(i) of the Data and Statistics Act 2022, for the purpose of the research under Part 5 of the Data and Statistics Act 2022.
After collection, Stats NZ integrates the Ara Rangatahi into employment programmes data into the Integrated Data Infrastructure (IDI).
Once integrated, Stats NZ governs access to the data for research purposes according to Part 5 of the Data and Statistics Act 2022.
The Ara Rangatahi into employment programmes data contains information about the participants and their participation in Ara Rangatahi into employment programmes, which includes the Not in employment, eduction, or training (NEET) programme and the Pathway to employment programme. The data includes National Student Numbers of the participants, the programme type, and the participation period.
The data has been collected from or contains information about approximately 1,000 individuals.
Stats NZ collects the data on a one-off basis.

For access to and use of this data for purposes other than research, this supplementary privacy impact assessment (PIA) will need to be updated. For use outside the Integrated Data Service, a separate PIA will be completed.
