Probe Underway Into Rosebery House Fire: Tasmania Police

Police are investigating after a fire destroyed a house in Reece Avenue, Rosebery yesterday.

Around 4.45am emergency services responded to reports of a structure fire at the unoccupied residence.

Tasmania Fire Service extinguished the fire and determined the cause to be suspicious.

Acting Sergeant Jeremy Williams said police are interested in hearing from anyone that has information about the fire.

"We are also interested in hearing from anyone that may have placed an orange traffic bollard at the intersection of Reece Avenue and Morrisby Street in Rosebery, prior to emergency services arriving."

Anyone with information in relation to the fire, or suspicious activity in the area around the time is asked to contact Rosebery Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers Tasmania via www.crimestopperstas.com.au. You can do so anonymously.
