Property crime arrests at Emerald

Since December 2022, detectives from the Emerald Criminal Investigation Branch with the assistance of general duty officers, have investigated a number of property offences committed within the Emerald and Rockhampton divisions.

On December 26, 2022, a break and enter occurred at an antique store on Hospital Road, Emerald, where a substantial amount of jewellery was stolen.

Police investigated and executed multiple search warrants that resulted in the identification and seizure of stolen property and dangerous drugs.

Multiple people were arrested and charged.

A 51-year-old man was arrested and charged with multiple counts of property offences including enter premises and commit by break, possessing things used in connection with a crime, having face disguised to commit and indictable offence, disposing of tainted property and multiple counts of fraud.

He is set to appear in the Emerald Magistrates Court on March 14.

A 31-year-old woman was arrested and charged with enter premises and commit by break, receiving tainted property, disposing of tainted property and breaching bail.

She is set to appear in the Emerald Magistrates Court on February 7.

A 39-year-old woman was charged with receiving tainted property after police executed a search warrant and located stolen property from the antique store.

A 37-year-old woman was charged with possessing dangerous drugs, possessing drug utensils, and failing to dispose of a syringe and needle.

She is set to appear in the Emerald Magistrates Court on February 7.

A 23-year-old woman was charged with possessing a drug utensil.

She is set to appear in the Emerald Magistrates Court on February 7.

A 54-year-old man was charged with possessing dangerous drugs.

He is set to appear in the Emerald Magistrates Court on March 14.

A 24-year-old man was charged with stealing for an unrelated matter.

He is set to appear in the Emerald Magistrates Court on February 14.

A 42-year-old man has also been arrested by Emerald police and charged with multiple counts of property offences including burglary, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and stealing and possessing dangerous drugs.

He is set to appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on February 3.
