Property Crime Offences At Jandowae

Police have charged two men over the alleged theft of copper and property at Jandowae on 5 August.

Around 5.30pm police received reports that two men were allegedly acting suspiciously at a makeshift campsite on Burra Burri Darr Creek Road at Burra Burri.

A short time later around 7pm police were conducting patrols when they intercepted a Toyota Landcruiser towing a trailer along Jandowae Connection Road at Jandowae.

When officers searched the vehicle, it is alleged they found a large amount of suspected stolen scrap copper along with air conditioning units and power tools.

A 36-year-old man and a 43-year-old man, both from Dalby, were arrested and taken into custody.

They have both been charged with one count each of receiving tainted property and are due to appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court today, 6 August.

Investigations are continuing into where the alleged stolen property was taken from.
