Property Crime Offences, Greenswamp

Police have charged a 25-year-old man with multiple property offences following an investigation into a break-in at a rural property near Chinchilla on 29 June.

It will be alleged on 29 June a man gained entry to a farming shed on Greenswamp Road at Greenswamp and stole several items including cordless power tools, batteries, charges, grinders along with socket and spanner sets before leaving the scene.

Following investigations, officers from the South West District Tactical Crime Squad with assistance from the Highway Patrol Unit and Dalby Police Station attended a Dalby address on July 1, where the man was arrested.

A 25-year-old St Helens Beach man has been charged with four counts of enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence, two counts of enter premises and commit an indictable offence and one count each of using false number plates, driving without a licence, stealing and possessing tainted property.

He has been remanded in custody to appear before the Dalby Magistrates Court on 18 August.

Investigations remain ongoing.
