Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi has urged caution about the federal government rushing in to legislate the protection of religious freedoms in Australia because of the unintended consequences that might result.
Senator Bernardi has told Chris Kenny on Sky News, the Conservative Party is all about freedom of thought, freedom of speech and freedom of expression and those are things the Australian Conservatives will always fight to defend but legislation religious freedom is a tricky one.
