Prowler arrested at Salisbury Plain, SA

An Elizabeth East man has arrested after he was found on a Salisbury Plain building site in the early hours of the morning, according to SA Police.

Just after 1am Salisbury patrols responded to an alarm activation on a large building site on Saints Road.

Local patrols cordoned off the area around the site and a police dog patrol was called in to search the premises area. A man carrying bolt cutters tried to run from the area, but Police dog Rugar was a lot quicker and the suspect was stopped and arrested.

A 47-year-old Elizabeth East man was charged with being unlawfully on premises, going equipped to commit an offence after he was found in possession of a large bag which contained, gloves, torches, bolt cutters and multiple tools.

The arrested man has been bailed to attended the Elizabeth Magistrates Court at a later date.
