Prowler arrested Elizabeth East, South Australia

A man has been arrested after he was found the rear yard of a house at Elizabeth East overnight.

Just after 11pm on Tuesday, police patrols were called to Nautlilus Road, after a home owner heard noises coming for the back of the house and rear yard.

On arrival, patrols they could hear noises coming from a neighbouring home which was under construction. On investigation, police found a man who appeared puffed and out of breath and a head torch on the ground.

The 53-year-old man from Elizabeth Vale was arrested for being unlawfully on premises.

Checks by the home owner that called revealed a whipper snipper and mountain bike had been stolen from the shed during the incident.

Police enquiries are continuing as to another possible suspect or locating the property nearby.
