Police have declared an emergency situation under the Public Safety Preservation Act following an incident in White Rock this afternoon, Queensland Police say.
At around 1.45pm police attended a residence on Kimba Close, responding to a domestic violence incident.
As a result, a man remains inside the property with a woman.
Police negotiators are on scene and are attempting to make contact with the man.
The declaration was made at 2.30pm for an area 100 metres from the residence on Kimba Close with the close currently closed in both directions.
Police are asking people to avoid the area.
