PSPA Emergency Declaration Declaration At Emu Park

Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) following an ongoing incident at Emu Park this afternoon, 11 July.

The declaration was made around 1.40pm after police attended a property on Granville Street following reports of shots being fired.

The emergency declaration encompasses Pattison Street, Granville Street, William Street and Hill Street.

Residents in these streets are urged to remain indoors and the public are advised to avoid the area.

While the matter is ongoing, no further information is available at this time.
