PSPA Emergency Declaration Declaration, Clontarf

Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) due to an ongoing incident in Clontarf.

Police and emergency services were called to a unit on Weaber Street, following reports of a fire.

A PSPA was declared about 2.10pm with the exclusion zone encompassing Watson Street, Isobel Street, Enoch Street, Gerald Avenue, Wendy Crescent, Bright Avenue and Cornelius Street.

Members of the public are advised to avoid the area and those within the exclusion zone are asked to remain indoors and close their windows until further notice.

A number of roads in the area may be affected.

Residents and motorists are urged to avoid the area, to drive to condition and follow police direction.
