PSPA Emergency Declaration Declaration, One Mile

Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) following an ongoing incident at One Mile this afternoon, 9 March.

The PSPA was declared at 7.22pm after a man who police wished to speak with barricaded himself in a house on Peacock Street.

The emergency declaration encompasses Old Toowoomba Road, Chubb Street, Woodford Street General Foch Street.

Residents in these streets are urged to remain indoors and the public are advised to avoid the area.
