Police have revoked an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) in relation to a ruptured gas line in Posrtsmith, Cairns,
The declaration was revoked at 11.42am after emergency services were able to isolate and contain the leak.
The PSPA was invoked at 8.53 and encompassed the area surrounding Draper and Kenny Streets, including Owen Close, Plath Close, Bunda and Spence Streets.
These roads are now open.
