PTC officers target anti-social behaviour between Cronulla and Wolli Creek, NSW

Officers from the Police Transport Command have saturated the rail network between Cronulla and Wolli Creek yesterday targeting anti-social behaviour, NSW Police say.

Between 2pm and 10pm (Sunday 10 December 2017) officers from PTC Operational Support Group and the Transport Action Group conducted a high-visibility operation focusing on railway stations between Wolli Creek, Sutherland and Cronulla.

It total, three people were arrested for drug possession and stealing, numerous people where stopped and searched, and over 30 ‘move on’ directions where issued to people loitering around the stations.

Officers issued 58 transport infringements and issued a Criminal Infringement Notice for offensive language in Cronulla Mall.

More than 20 trains were patrolled and 18 railway stations where visited by officers across the afternoon and into the evening.

With the warmer weather approaching and the festive season upon us we can expect officers from the Police Transport Command to be out in force.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
