Public appeal after Craigieburn petrol thefts

Police are appealing for public assistance following a series of petrol thefts in Craigieburn last month.

Investigators have been told a man attended a service station along Craigieburn Road on 6 June about 4.10pm.

The man filled up a vehicle which had two different number plates and drove away without paying.

In another incident at the same service station on 15 June about 8.45pm, a different man has filled up a vehicle with stolen number plates and has driven off without paying.

The driver in the first incident is perceived to be Middle Eastern in appearance, aged in his late 20's to mid-30's, with a solid build, with dark complexion and dark hair.

The driver in the second incident is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance, medium build, aged in his late 20's with brown hair and beard.

Police have released images of the two men they believe can assist them with their enquiries.
