Altona North Wayward Taskforce detectives have released a computer-generated image of a suspect they seek to identify after man was robbed and assaulted at Tarneit late last year.

Investigators have been told the 36-year-old man was meeting a friend outside a Turva Avenue property when he was approached by six unknown males at 12am on Sunday, 13 December.

The group assaulted the man with glass bottles and pushed him to the ground before he was kicked and punched to the upper body.

The offenders stole the man's mobile phone, bank cards and Nike shoes before fleeing on foot.

The victim managed to alert emergency services who arrived shortly after and transported him to hospital for treatment of his injuries.
