Public appeal: Robbery, Browns Plains

Police have released an image of a woman as part of the investigation into the robbery of a Browns Plains sporting-goods store on September 18, 2021.

Around 9.30am, a woman attended the Grand Plaza Drive store, where she selected approximately $1,600 worth of clothing and placed the items into her bag.

Around 10.20am the woman attempted to leave the store without paying when the 25-year-old manager confronted her.

The manager attempted to remove the stolen clothing from the woman's bag when she verbally abused him, removed her high-heels and repeatedly hit the man's left wrist and spat in his face.

The man managed to retrieve approximately $700 worth of clothing before letting go of the bag and the woman fled with approximately $900 worth of clothing.

The man sustained minor injuries to his left wrist.

The woman is described as Aboriginal in appearance, approximately 170cm tall, slim build and 18-19 years of age.

Police urge anyone who may recognise this woman to come forward.
