Public health alert 10 September

NSW Health is alerting anyone who attended Concord Hospital's emergency department on Sunday, September 6 that a person with COVID-19 was present between 2.20pm and 5pm in the waiting room area.

That person was wearing a mask and was asymptomatic at the time.

Those patients who were present in the waiting room for one hour or more at the same time as the case have been identified and are currently being contacted by NSW Health.

They have been advised to get tested for COVID-19 and self-isolate for 14 days (even with a negative test result) until Sunday, September 20 inclusive.

Staff have also been informed and are undergoing testing.

Anyone else who visited the waiting area for less than one hour should be alert for symptoms.

If any symptoms develop, please get tested and isolate until a negative test result is received.

This patient was reported on September 8 and is already included in the Concord Hospital cluster, which is currently 11.
