Public health alert 23 July

NSW Health has been notified of a number of new and updated venues of concern and public transport routes associated with confirmed cases of COVID 19, and of a new sewage detection.

NSW Health's ongoing sewage surveillance program has detected fragments of the virus that causes COVID-19 at the sewage treatment plant at Moss Vale in the Southern Highlands.

There are no known cases in this area, which is of great concern.

Everyone in the Moss Vale area is asked to be especially vigilant for any symptoms that could signal COVID-19, and if they appear, to immediately be tested and isolate until a negative result is received. If symptoms appear again, please be tested and isolate again.

Anyone who attended the following venues at the times listed is a close contact and must get tested and isolate for 14 days, regardless of the result, and call 1800 943 553 unless they have already been contacted by NSW Health:
