Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) is encouraging interested people to comment on the draft Toowoomba Region Parking Strategy until Monday, July 14, 2025.

TRC Transport and Drainage Planning portfolio spokesperson Cr Trevor Manteufel said residents could offer their views by visiting Council's Your Say page, https://yoursay.tr.qld.gov.au

Cr Manteufel said Council welcomed input from residents, business owners, shoppers and workers about how, when and where they visited or parked in Toowoomba's CBD and the Region more broadly to help inform the draft strategy that will be presented to Council for consideration.

"The existing Toowoomba City Centre Car Parking Strategy was implemented in 2019 to address the requirements at the time. Since then, there have been numerous changes which the new Toowoomba Region Parking Strategy aims to address," Cr Manteufel said.

"The new strategy seeks to provide improvements across key precincts and regional towns.

"Council proposes to overhaul parking within the Central Traffic Area and Toowoomba CBD, using best practice to create a simplified system that works best for the broader community."
